Clinical Research Seminar Series

AHS and the University of Alberta offer a series of training courses. We can direct you to these courses as needed.
As of July 15, 2009, all newly hired research study coordinators are required to take the Weiser course. This two-day intensive training program will enhance your skills and knowledge of clinical trial research. The course offers practical, hands-on workshops and presentations for coordinators at all levels in all settings and areas of care.
Pragmatic Clinical Trials Course
The Career Development and the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Platforms of the Alberta SPOR SUPPORT Unit (AbSPORU) have collaborated to create a certificate designed to accommodate current professionals in the field of clinical health research. Registration is now full for the Winter 2019 cohort of the Leadership in Patient-Oriented Research: Pragmatic Clinical Trials Certificate. Stay tuned for details on the Fall 2019 cohort.
The Quality Management in Clinical Research unit ensures that clinical research at the University of Alberta is conducted according to the highest scientific and ethical standards. They provide a wide variety of training courses to help ensure this high standard of quality.
