We are pleased to announce that Lee Ann Langkaas has commenced as the AHS CTU Manager, effective February 6, 2023. Lee Ann has over 20 years of clinical research experience within a broad scope of positions including the University of Alberta and industry. Her areas of expertise include clinical trial management, project management, contract and budget negotiations, financial administration and budgeting, staff training, policy, protocol and SOP development, quality assurance and regulatory compliance, study participation recruitment and leadership.
Lee Ann will be based at College Plaza and will collaborate with the CTU at CCI, the Clinical Investigation Unit and the FoMD Office of Research at UofA. Meetings of introduction will be scheduled with each interested investigator to initiate the process of staff recruitment to the newly established CTU and discuss your program resourcing requirements.
The new CTU will provide direct support to Principal Investigators conducting interventional clinical trials and engage with AHS unit managers and clinicians to better enable the conduct of trials in the areas.
