The Alberta Health Services Clinical Research Laboratory (AHS CRL) and NACTRC are pleased to announce Phase I of the upgrade of the laboratory operational approval process in the NACTRC system (ENCAPS).
The AHS CRL has become steadily busier with ever more complex testing and the upgraded approval process in ENCAPS will allow for a more streamlined and manageable process.
Phase I of the upgrade will go into effect June 4 and will make the paper-based process electronic up to the point where an agreement is signed and includes:
Revised operational approval dashboard
Lab manual attachments
Turnaround times at major milestones
Selection of required services
Electronic Laboratory Services Research Agreement
Phase II will follow in approximately one month and will complete the integration up to the provision of the Laboratory Requisition.
Please note that Cross Cancer Institute Laboratory Services will be implemented later this year.
